Poke is easy to do badly. Cheap fish, too much rice, sauce covering the difference. We make two poke bowls and we’d rather make two well than eight indifferently.

Our poke bowls

Ahi Tuna Bowl — $16.49

Ahi tuna seasoned with sesame oil and soy sauce, with mango, avocado, cucumber, beets, lettuce and rice. The mango is the part people don’t expect — it cuts the salt of the soy and works better with tuna than it has any right to.

Salmon Keto Bowl — $17.99

Salmon with avocado, broccoli, bell pepper, onion, zucchini and lettuce, served over cauliflower rice instead of white rice. This is a genuine keto bowl, not a regular bowl with the rice removed — the vegetables are there to do the work the rice normally does.

If you want something in between

Two more bowls sit close to poke without being poke:

Salmon Bowl — $15.99. Cooked salmon with mango, avocado, broccoli, bell pepper, onion, zucchini and rice. Same flavors as the keto bowl, cooked fish, regular rice.

Açaí Super Food Bowl — $12.99. No fish at all — spinach, pineapple, strawberries, hemp seed, goji berries and cacao nibs. It gets ordered alongside poke often enough that it’s worth mentioning.

Substitutions

The rice is the part most people want to change, so here’s what it costs:

The Salmon Keto Bowl already comes on cauliflower rice, so there’s no upcharge there.

Serving Chula Vista and South County San Diego

We’re at 4530 Bonita Rd, Bonita, CA 91902 — a few minutes from Chula Vista, and an easy drive from Eastlake, National City and Spring Valley. Free parking lot and free street parking.

Hours: Monday–Saturday 7:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Sunday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

Order online for pickup, or get delivery via DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub. Online ordering closes at 7:45 p.m. so the kitchen can finish everything properly before close.

A note on ordering poke for delivery

We’ll be straight with you: raw fish is better eaten soon after it’s made. If you’re ordering delivery, the Ahi Tuna Bowl holds up fine over a short distance, but if you’re 25 minutes away in traffic, the cooked Salmon Bowl will arrive in better shape. Pickup is best of all.

What else is on the menu

If poke isn’t what everyone in your group wants, the rest of the menu covers a lot of ground: açaí and fruit bowls from $11.99, six salads from $11.99, sandwiches and wraps, all-day breakfast, twelve smoothies and fourteen cold-pressed juices.

There’s a kids’ menu for ages 10 and under, and vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options throughout.

Catering

We cater across Bonita, Chula Vista and South County San Diego. For office lunches, bowls work well because people can eat them at their desk without a plate. Call (619) 470-7300 and we’ll put something together — we can accommodate vegan, vegetarian, keto and gluten-free guests in the same order.

Questions we get asked

Is your tuna sushi-grade?

We use ahi tuna intended to be served raw, seasoned with sesame oil and soy sauce. If you’re pregnant, immunocompromised, or have been advised to avoid raw fish, the cooked Salmon Bowl at $15.99 is the same flavor profile without the raw element.

Is poke gluten-free?

Soy sauce contains wheat, so the ahi tuna as we season it is not gluten-free. Tell us when you order and we’ll work with you. Our kitchen isn’t a dedicated gluten-free facility, so please flag any serious allergy.

Can I get poke without rice?

Yes — the Salmon Keto Bowl comes on cauliflower rice as standard, and we can put the ahi tuna over cauliflower rice or lettuce for $2.99.

Do you have spicy options?

Not on the poke itself, but our spicy smoothies are made with chamoy, Tajín and chacha chacha, and several salads come with a spicy mango dressing. Ask and we’ll point you at something.
