If you’re looking for açaí bowls in Bonita, you’re about to find out there’s more to them than a purple base and a handful of granola. We’ve been making açaí bowls at 4530 Bonita Rd since we opened, and we make every one to order.
Our açaí bowls
We keep the lineup tight on purpose. Four bowls at $11.99, one superfood bowl at $12.99, each built on a different base so you can actually taste the difference.
Açaí Bowl — $11.99
The original. Açaí blended thick, topped with banana, strawberries, blueberries, granola, shredded coconut and honey. If you’ve never had one before, start here.
Pitaya Bowl — $11.99
Pitaya is dragon fruit, and it’s brighter and lighter than açaí — more tropical, less earthy. Same toppings: banana, strawberries, blueberries, granola, shredded coconut and honey. It’s the one people order on hot afternoons.
Coconut Bowl — $11.99
Creamy coconut base, same fresh fruit and granola. The mildest of the four, and the one kids usually go for.
Matcha Bowl — $11.99
Matcha green tea blended into the base. Grassy, a little bitter in the good way, with the sweetness coming from the fruit and honey rather than the base itself.
Açaí Super Food Bowl — $12.99
Our most nutrient-dense bowl: spinach, pineapple, strawberries, hemp seed, goji berries and cacao nibs. Vegan as it comes. This is the one to order if you’re eating before a workout rather than after a long day.
Why ours taste different
Two reasons, and neither is complicated.
First, we blend each bowl when you order it. Açaí that’s been sitting in a tub separates and goes icy. Ours comes out thick enough to hold a spoon upright, which is the whole point.
Second, the fruit on top is cut fresh daily, not thawed. You can tell immediately — frozen strawberries go soft and weep into the base, fresh ones stay firm.
Vegan and dietary options
The Açaí Super Food Bowl is vegan as served. The other four are topped with honey, so ask us to leave it off and they’re vegan too — we’re happy to do it and it costs nothing.
All of our bowls are naturally free of gluten-containing bread. Our kitchen isn’t a dedicated gluten-free facility, so if you have celiac disease or a serious allergy, please tell us when you order and we’ll take precautions.
Where to find us
We’re at 4530 Bonita Rd, Bonita, CA 91902, in the Bonita Centre. Free parking lot, plus free street parking on Bonita Road.
We’re a short drive from Chula Vista, Eastlake, National City and Spring Valley — most of our regulars come from across South County San Diego, not just Bonita.
Hours: Monday–Saturday 7:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Sunday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. We make bowls all day, not just in the morning.
Order ahead
You can order online for pickup, or get delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. Ordering directly with us is the best way to support a family-owned business — the delivery apps take a significant cut.
Online ordering closes at 7:45 p.m. so our kitchen has time to finish your food properly before we close at 8:00.
Make it a meal
Plenty of people pair a bowl with something from the rest of the menu. Our fresh smoothies run $7.99 for 16 oz, cold-pressed juices at $7.97, and we serve a full breakfast all day if you want eggs alongside.
If you’re feeding a group, we cater across Bonita, Chula Vista and South County San Diego — bowls travel better than you’d think when we pack the toppings separately. Call us at (619) 470-7300 to plan it.
Questions we get asked
Are açaí bowls actually healthy?
Honest answer: it depends what’s on them. Açaí itself is a fruit with no added sugar. Granola and honey add sugar, so if that matters to you, ask for less granola or skip the honey — the bowl is still good. The Açaí Super Food Bowl is the lowest-sugar option we make.
Can I customize the toppings?
Yes. Add, remove or swap — just tell us at the counter. There’s an additional charge for changes to our set menu items, and we’ll tell you what it is before you pay.
Do you have açaí bowls for kids?
The Coconut Bowl is the usual pick for younger kids. We also have a full kids’ menu for ages 10 and under, and high chairs if you need one.
